Lisbon, Lisbon
CARLOS FRANÇA COLLECTIONS
"Lisboa Lisboa", is a photographic series depicting loneliness both as a human feeling and as a physical characteristic imprinted in spaces in the city of Lisbon. We question form as being a physical reality, or a perception constructed by an emotional balance based on a relationship with the other, the observer.
Human form is progressively lost in the absence of the other, as relations fade, and people find themselves more and more alone. Shapes move continuously with the city to avoid ceasing their existence, with an idea of love and sex, though futile, as a mean to stay alive.
